The Higher Certificate in Business Studies in Business and Management is offered by Nelson Mandela University.

Program Length: 1 YEAR.

Those students who decide to go for the Higher Certificate in Business Studies will be able to acquire the necessary knowledge and skills that will enable them to be more effective in the business environment and make them more employable. Besides, they will have more access to selected diploma qualifications. 

Once successfully completing this qualification and satisfying the set admission requirements, students will be eligible to progress towards a diploma in one of the following fields: Economics, Marketing, Logistics, Management, or Tourism management. 

Admission Requirements 

• Minimum NSC statutory requirements for higher certificate entry.
• Minimum Applicant Score of 290 for applicants with NSC Grade 12 Mathematics or Technical Mathematics.
• Minimum Applicant Score of 305 for applicants with NSC Grade 12 Mathematical Literacy.
• NSC achievement rating of at least 30% for Mathematics or Technical Mathematics or 50% for Mathematical Literacy.

Admission Requirements for applicants who matriculated before 2008

• School Performance Score of 18.
• Senior Certificate.
• Pass in Mathematics.
