University of Limpopo

The University of Limpopo is a university in South Africa's Limpopo Province. The University of the North and the Medical University of South Africa (MEDUNSA) came together to form the University in January 2005. 

Both of the mother universities were universities during the apartheid regime. They were centers of resistance in the 1960s, 70s, and 80s. 

The university's vision is "to be a leading African University focused on the developmental needs of its communities and epitomizing academic excellence and innovativeness". 

Their mission is to be a university that responds actively to the needs of its students, staff, and communities; through relevant and high-quality education and training, research and community engagement; and partnership and collaboration with its stakeholders.

Their values include accountability, transparency, integrity, academic freedom, and excellence and professionalism.   

The University of Limpopo is a Public university located in Mankweng.
