The Advanced Diploma in Technical and Vocational Teaching in Education is offered by Nelson Mandela University.

Program Length: 1 YEAR.

This programme has been approved in terms of the new Higher Education Qualification
Sub-Framework (HEQSF).
The primary purpose of this qualification is to educate competent Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) college lecturers. This programme is intended for students with a relevant prior qualification such as a bachelor's degree. Applicants must be able to demonstrate vocationally-orientated knowledge. The Advanced Diploma in Technical and Vocational Teaching aims at developing and deepening teaching competencies expected of lecturers and trainers in the TVET sector.

Admission Requirements 

Students must meet several requirements to get into this programme. The requirements include: 
  • appropriate 360-credit.
  • NQF level 6 undergraduate diploma or bachelor’s degree.
  • appropriate academic fields that will allow students to lecture on a subject.
  • demonstrate their proficiency in academic literacies, enrolling for additional modules in case these are not met.
