The primary purpose of this qualification is to provide the qualifying student (the professional nursing practitioner) with the further development of her/his intellectual, practical and reflective competencies/ abilities (knowledge, skills, attitudes and values) as a primary health care clinical nurse practitioner to promote the health of the individual, family, group and community, as an active member of the inter-sectoral, multi professional and multi-disciplinary health teams. This qualification shall lead to registration as a post-basic primary health care nurse with the SANC.
