Assessment and examination
Successful completion of the Clinical Paediatric Critical Care module requires satisfactory participation whilst working as a senior registrar in the Division of Paediatric Critical Care, as well as a pass mark of at least 50% in the Cert Critical Care (SA) Paed examination of the CMSA. You will be assessed regularly as part of the flexible assessment strategy and you must keep a portfolio/log-book of clinical activities, relevant courses attended, experience using formal developmental assessment tools and knowledge of relevant services.You must register the research protocol within six months after you have registered for the programme and complete the research assignment within two years of registration. The research assignment must be submitted in the form of an article for publication. Successful completion of the Research Assignment module is a requirement for admission to the Cert Critical Care (SA) Paed examination of the CMSA.The modules contribute to the final mark as follows:
- Clinical Paediatric Critical Care 75%; and
- Research Assignment 25%.
