Purpose of the Learning Programme
This qualification has been approved in terms of the new Higher Education Qualification Sub-Framework (HEQSF)A person credited with the MSc (Environmental Health) is competent in applying the research process to identify and address environmental and public health issues independentlyThe graduates should demonstrate the ability to apply, integrate and contextualise advanced knowledge and skills in this field of study. In executing the research project and dissertation, students must demonstrate the ability to address complex and challenging problems and show understanding of the ethical issues and consequences of any solutions or insights generated within the field of Environmental Health with specific emphasis on Occupational Hygiene, Food Safety, Environmental Pollution and Environmental Epidemiology.
The studies for this degree shall extend over at least one academic year of full-time study.The degree must be completed within the following maximum period from the first date of registration:Full-time studies: Three (3) years.Part-time studies: Four (4) years.
