Projects are available in the field of Laser Materials Processing and Friction Stir Welding. Students will form part of the research team in the Manufacturing Technology Research Center (MTRC) situated within the School of Engineering.In their dissertation students must prove that they understand a particular problem in the industry and are able to set it out logically, are able to arrive at logical conclusions or a diagnosis, and are then able to make proposals for the improvement/elimination of the problem. The dissertation must comply with the normal requirements and rules with regard to scope, quality and layout.
