The purpose of this qualification is to train qualified bookkeepers for the private and public sectors. They will have the opportunity to enhance their skills and knowledge in the field of accountancy. This programme will also equip students with the essential knowledge and specific skills they need in order to be competent in performing basic bookkeeping, tax and accounting services both manually and in the computerised environment. Students who do not meet the direct entry requirements for the mainstream qualification will have the opportunity to study further at tertiary level after the completion of the programme.Please note: Students with an average mark of 60% and higher in the Higher Certificate may apply for entry to the Diploma in Accountancy.
