This programme has been approved in terms of the new Higher Education Qualification Sub-Framework (HEQSF).Candidates who are willing to become Chartered Accountants will have the opportunity to major also in Computer Science and Information Systems. After successful completion of this degree, students can further their studies for the Postgraduate Diploma in Accounting and move on to the professional examinations proposed by the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants and the Independent Regulatory Board for Auditors. The completion of this degree takes four years of full-time study.Admission Requirements
Each candidate has to meet the following requirements:
- Minimum NSC statutory requirements for degree entry.
- Minimum Applicant Score of 410 for those with NSC Grade 12 in Mathematics.
- NSC achievement rating of at least 65% for Mathematics.
- Applicants who matriculated before 2018 must meet the following requirements:
- Matriculation exemption/endorsement.
- Mathematics minimum pass mark of HG=E or SG=C.
- At least 31 points on the university’s SPS rating scale.
