The D.Litt. (Doctor Literarum) is the pinnacle of literature study. The D.Litt. degree shall be obtained by submitting a thesis on an approved topic and which complies with the general rules for doctor’s degrees.Various generous bursaries are available for local or overseas study from the NMMU, the NRF (National Research Foundation), the SA Stichting Moederland and SAVN (bursaries from the Dutch government).
